Engagement Shoot in the Dunes and on the Beach of Parnassia
This isn’t a wedding, but I still wanted to share some beautiful images from an engagement shoot in the dunes and on the beach at Parnassia.

More photos below, but first do a quick date check and I'll send you my brochure straight away!
Date-checkFirst, a disclaimer because we are dealing with an exceptional situation in exceptional times. There are some pictures in this blog post where it seems like people don't adhere to the 1.5 rule. In some cases, this is an optical illusion thanks to the composition in the photo. There have been no violations of the rules and people you do see close together are in all cases part of the same household.
Because Sanne and Arjan wanted a traditional first look moment, they had the idea to prepare for the big day at different locations. Fairly common for a wedding, so I don't mind photographing the preparations at different locations. I first visited Arjan who was preparing for the wedding at his mother's home in Zandvoort. After the preparations of Arjan, I started photographing the preparations of Sanne and her family in Haarlem. A lot of happy faces were there busy getting ready for this unique occasion.
An exciting moment for both. With sweaty hands, Arjan had been waiting outside for Sanne for a while, but finally, the time had come. The moment where they see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Of course you also see each other for the first time in that beautiful wedding suit and that great wedding dress and that often gives nice reactions and surprised facial expressions.
Haarlem is a beautiful city to take wedding photos, but there are still plenty of other options in the surrounding area. Sanne and Arjan decided to have some photos taken in the dunes and on the beach of Noordwijk in addition to a photoshoot in the center of Haarlem. It was sunny, but still quite cool, so we decided not to do the shoot too extensively. It does not take much time to create some super cool wedding portraits with such beautiful scenery.
A great way to end this beautiful day; hanging out with all friends and family outside with something delicious to eat and drink. With enough champagne, a luxurious wedding cake and enough snacks for everyone, this wedding ended in a subtle but beautiful way. Of course there were some traditional moments such as cake cutting and bouquet throwing and this resulted in some funny and crazy moments.
Sanne and Arjan, I really enjoyed this beautiful day, thank you for letting me be a part of it!
