Before the wedding, Amy and Adriaan both get ready in hotel De Hallen, which is very convenient since almost the entire wedding day is located at this venue. That's why I start my day here and begin with Adriaan, who starts the day well with a glass of booze to get the nerves in check. Amy's makeup is done close to Adriaan, so it's even more of a challenge to make sure they don't accidentally bump into each other before the ceremony. Fortunately, that turned out all right and with good coordination from friends and family, we manage to keep the wedding couple separated.
After a beautiful first look with her mother, the ladies also celebrate this wedding day with a glass of champagne and bride Amy is completely ready to get married.
Amy and Adriaan see each other for the first time at the start of the ceremony. After all the friends have come forward and shown their love in their own way, it's time for Amy to show herself to her husband-to-be for the first time. Adriaan is over the moon when he sees his bride arrive and a beautiful ceremony follows. With a passionate kiss, everything is official and it's time for the reception.
A relaxed reception with a lot of happy faces follows. Friends and family give speeches and share some funny anecdotes. This is also the case during dinner, where everyone is crying tears about the stories that are told.
After dinner, I briefly go out with the wedding couple to capture wedding portraits in the center of Amsterdam. This couple is madly in love so during this session they need little direction. After this short walk, we all go to the Kanarie Club and finalize the wedding with a first dance in the 'swimming pool' of the club. Although I only photograph an hour of all the fun, I know they kept partying until the middle of the night.
Amy and Adriaan, what a great day it was! Thank you for this beautiful Amsterdam wedding!
