This April 7th promises to be a wet day, so I set out well-prepared with my umbrellas in the trunk. Later, it will prove that they come in very handy during the photoshoot on the Veluwe.
I start my day at the beautiful wedding venue Rhederoord. Pauline and Nico arrive just as I take a walk around to capture the venue. Nico heads to the wine cellar to get ready, and Pauline moves with a few ladies to the top floor to prepare for this beautiful day.
The first look is scheduled for a short walk to the Sequoia trees just outside the estate of Rhederoord. After a few surprised looks and affectionate hugs, we begin the photoshoot with some pictures on the estate. Then we continue our way towards the Veluwe to take some wedding photos in nature. Although the weather radar shows nothing, there is a persistent drizzle that should not be underestimated. The umbrellas are with us and thankfully come in handy!
Upon return, all guests have already arrived, and Pauline and Nico are greeted with a big applause. An intimate ceremony in the mansion of Rhederoord follows, and Pauline and Nico are married!!
With a toast and cutting of the cake, the reception officially begins, and after a delightful drink, everyone is ready for dinner; an extensive BBQ. When all stomachs are satisfied, it's time to party; I photograph for another hour at the party and get into my car with a satisfied feeling; what a wonderful day it was!!!
Pauline and Nico, thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding for you!!
