Wedding at Orangerie Elswout near Haarlem

Orangerie Elswout has a special place in my heart because me and my wife Roxy got married here in 2015. That's why it's always extra special for me when I can photograph a wedding here; In this case the wedding of Rachel and David.

Wedding preparations in Haarlem

Rachel and David have chosen a beautiful day to get married. A sunny day with just the right temperature, perfect for getting married outdoors.

I start the day at the Carlton Square hotel in Haarlem where David is getting ready. His parents help him with the preparations and Rachel has been kind enough to buy everyone a present with a beautiful message of love.

After David's preparations, I drive to Rachel and David's house where everyone is already busy getting ready for the big day. The cats love all the new toys such as jewellery and glittery shoes, Rachel is helped by her best friend, mother and brother with her dress and after a short first look moment with her father, we leave for the Elswout estate for the first look with David.

First look at Elswout estate

David is already waiting between the tall trees on the Elswout estate when we arrive. I am in close contact with the master of ceremonies who knows exactly when we will arrive. After the long walk, Rachel arrives and sees David standing in between the trees. A beautiful first look moment follows where the newlyweds can see each other for the first time in their wedding clothes.

Wedding ceremony at Orangerie Elswout

The ceremony will be held outside Orangerie Elswout. A beautiful setting in the open air with the Orangerie in the background creates a wonderful atmosphere. There is laughter, a tear is shed, of course, rings are exchanged and there is the kiss that these newlyweds have been waiting for, for so long.

Wedding portraits in the area around Orangerie Elswout

After the ceremony at the Orangerie, we leave for a walk on the Elswout estate to take wedding portraits. The dynamics that arise when a wedding couple just got married can really be felt in the photos we take in the park. The beautiful surroundings also help, because around Orangerie Elswout you can really find everything for beautiful photos. There is a large mansion, enormous spacious fields, water, forest and even some pastures with sheep. In short, enough dynamics in the landscape for a lot of different types of wedding photos.

An amazing wedding party at Orangerie Elswout

Dinner begins on our return to Orangerie Elswout and after a number of beautiful speeches from family, it is time to end this day with a spectacular wedding party.

Rachel and David, I really enjoyed this wedding and thought it was fantastic to be back in this place where I also got married years ago.
Thank you for your trust in me!
